Given a large part of Campersion will be taking place outdoors and that events of this size make injury and illness inevitable, there will always be a first aider on hand either within the Organizer Team or the Welfare Team.
If you or someone else requires first aid at any point, the best place to come will be the Main Desk where we will be able to reach a first aider and appropriate supplies.
The Welfare Team will also have a supply of common over-the-counter medications that people may need along with common minor first aid supplies like plasters and antiseptics for basic cuts and scrapes.
In case of a more serious medical matter, we will try and arrange for people to attend either the Minor Injuries unit at the nearby Kidderminster Hospital, or the Accident & Emergency unit at Russells Hall Hospital.
In cases of emergency, please immediately call an ambulance by dialing ‘999’ on any phone.
Whilst we will always do our best to assist, participants are ultimately responsible for their own Health & Safety whilst at Campersion.
Fire Safety
Kinver Camping & Activity Centre has a policy forbidding fires except in specific fire pits, which will be marked. There will also be a number of metal fireboxes available for participants to use.
All fires must be kept under control and under supervision by a responsible adult at all times.
Gas camping stoves are permitted to be used around the site on hard standing and under supervision at all times.
Fire safety equipment will be available, provided by both Campersion and Kinver Camp, and if using an open fire, you will be asked to take some with you.
If using a gas camping stove, please ensure you have adequate fire safety equipment with you.
No fires are permitted either inside buildings, aside from the covered fire pit, nor inside tents or temporary structures.
