Code of Conduct

By attending any Campersion event or by participating in any associated online space you agree to abide by the Code of Conduct.

The Code of Conduct sets out the behaviour and conduct expected of all staff, volunteers, participants, facilitators, and members of partnership organizations whilst at Campersion events and in associated online spaces.

Those working with and participating in Campersion events come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds and all deserve to share a space that is safe and welcoming.

Everyone at Campersion events should fundamentally treat one another with respect and kindness.

Campersion will provide support where possible to help ensure the wellbeing of everyone at our events, but everyone is ultimately responsible for their own welfare and safety.

Campersion events are family-friendly and welcome Children and Families. Any conduct that is not family-friendly must be kept to private areas, or to sessions and spaces labelled as Adults-Only.

Be mindful of children around you, and keeping them safe.

All activities and sessions will have their expected content clearly advertised, and everyone is free to leave a session or activity at any time and for any reason.

Be supportive of other people’s health and wellbeing by following the instructions of facilitators and organizers.

Respect everyone’s privacy, including their information, their belongings, and their private spaces including rooms, tents, and vehicles. Do not go somewhere private without being invited, and do not share something about someone without their permission.

Do not take photos or videos without asking everyone visible.

Respect everyone’s consent at all times, and do not pressure anyone to do something they are not completely comfortable with.

You are responsible for what you take, and do not take anything to a degree that would impair your ability to respect others consent or withhold your own.

If someone asks you to leave them alone, or does not wish to speak to you, leave them alone.

Bigoted behaviour towards anyone, including homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, ableism, or any other discrimination will not be tolerated.

If you are worried about someone’s behaviour, towards you or anyone else, you can tell any volunteer or organizer. We want to be able to ensure that everyone is safe and comfortable, and can only do this if we know about things going on.

We will always respect the wishes of someone raising a concern, and you will never have to give any more information than you’re comfortable with. We will always do our best to support everyone in resolving any problems that arise.

Campersion will take whatever appropriate action is felt necessary to ensure the safety and welfare of people at our events, and you may be removed from an event and banned from future events if found to be in breach of the Code of Conduct, and will not receive any refunds.

We will support everyone to be kind, supportive, and welcoming to eachother.
