Safeguarding
Campersion will have children, vulnerable adults, and disabled people in attendance, and therefore has a responsibility to ensure safeguarding for these groups.
A copy of our full Safeguarding Policy can be found here.
Any safeguarding issues that arise must be immediately reported to a member of the Organizer Team who will then escalate it as appropriate, most likely involving the Designated Safeguarding Officer.
All staff, volunteers, and participants have a responsibility towards keeping these groups safe, and so we ask all participants to please be mindful of those around them, and report anything that may indicate a safeguarding concern.
Flagging
Names of all staff, volunteers, and adult participants will be entered onto an attendance list which will be viewable by all other people coming to the event. This is to ensure the everyone is aware of who they will be sharing the site with and can make and informed decision about their attendance.
If on that list you see someone with whom you do not wish to interact with, for whatever reason, please contact the admin team at Admin@Campersion.co.uk and let us know. We will do our best to atleast ensure you are not accommodated nearby to this person, and do what we can to limit interaction. However, given the size of the event, there is no way for us to guarantee you will not interact with them.
If on the list you see someone whom you think may pose a danger to other participants, please contact the admin team at Admin@Campersion.co.uk and let us know. We will do our utmost to ensure safety of everyone at our events, and will treat all reports confidentially as with any other conduct report.
Conduct
Campersion operates a Code of Conduct which lays out our expectations of how people behave at our events.
If you witness someone breaching the Code of Conduct or have concerns regarding a participant’s conduct, you can report this to a member of the Organizer Team who will work with you to address the concern.
Conduct concerns may also be shared with the Welfare Team, who will work with you as needed to ensure your wellbeing, but may need to involve the Organizer Team, who are responsible for conduct, if the situation requires it.
All conduct reports will be regarded as confidential and will be led by the wishes of the person sharing the concern in resolving them.
